Meet Your Maker, Hands-on Crafting & Pop Up Shopping all at Green Drinks!

The Local Good is pleased to announce the kind and crafty participants the craftiest Green Drinks yet. 

Green Drinks takes place this Wednesday, November 7th from 7 – 9 pm at The Common (9910 109 St). At the heart of the event, we invite you to Meet Your Maker! That’s right, six fantastic crafters will show their tricks, tips and tools of their art. If you’ve ever wondered about the ‘behind the scenes’ of craft sales or maybe have wanted to try your hand at DIY, this is your chance!

1.  Alliston with  AFHandcrafts - accessories, service, yarn & spinning
“I would like to show fellow Edmontonians what you can do with sheep, a stick and a shoot – spin creative and comfortable yarns”
 
2.  Nitasha with Henna Art - home decor, service, henna body art
“The art of henna has a lot of background than what meets the eye, and I would love to show how it is prepared before application on the skin and canvases.”
 
3.  Shaz with Warhorse Studios -  accessories, jewelry  
“As an active Designer and Goldsmith, I have a diverse background involving the forming of metal, and highly appreciate the many techniques that can be applied to various materials, to produce incredible outcomes.”
 
4.  Dari with The Abbey StillRoom - bath &  body 
“One of my favourite bits about my job is that the things I do are easy to replicate at home and make people feel empowered and more able to take their health into their own hands.” 
 
5.  Tanya with A Dreamy Day - jewelry
“It is always fun to meet other local crafters and the people interested in purchasing their wares.”

7.   Kelsey with Burning Schoolhouse Designs - clothing, fine art
“I am looking to network with both shoppers and other crafters, not only to make friends and customers but also because my family is looking at potential starting a boutique for locally made goods.”
 
Get Your Craft On, All Night Long!
 
Feeling inspired? All night long, you can try your hand at DIY, upcycled craft! That’s right, with the help of the Reuse Centre’s own crafter, you will walk away with your own piece of artwork. What is the craft? It’ll be fun, fit-for-the-holidays and can-be-done-with-a-green-drink. You’ve got to come out to find out!
 
The Pop Up Trunk Sale!
 
What’s better than a pop up craft sale? A tiny trunk pop up sale! Stay late (9-11 pm) and schmooze with these fine local vendors and shop local in the comfort of The Common! With small space comes great imagination and we have 10 creators with arts & crafts for sale that fit into a small vintage suitcase. Stay late for this show and sell! The vendors are:

  2. Debra with Soul Tribe - jewelry 
  3. Jeremy with Rockstar Jewelry  jewelry 
  4. Carol with Fruits of Sherbrooke - jams, sauces & condiments

  6. Judy with plain and simple bath & body
  7. Keri with Keri V. Leatherworks - accessories, leather purses, bags, wallets, collars 
  8. Keri with Keri Dawn Studios - accessories, baby/child products, fine art, home decor, jewelry 
  9. Nicola with Je Suis Une Femme - accessories 
  10. Ally with Publik Market - hand dyed fabrics art and apparel

Remember, Green Drinks has a $5 suggested cover charge (to keep things sustainable), but you may also want to bring cash for the Pop Up Sale! (There is an ATM, as well.)
